NHS Wales Clinical Waste Collection Service

Following the successful implementation of the WGOS Clinical Waste Contract, its ongoing management has now transferred to NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership (NWSSP) Primary Care Services as part of business-as-usual arrangements, with no changes to existing waste collection services.

Practices and domiciliary providers who are not currently part of the contract but would like to join can contact [email protected], using ‘WGOS Clinical Waste’ as the email subject.

Domiciliary providers can also access the contract, with arrangements depending on whether they operate from physical practice premises or a home address. Those without physical practice premises can access the service through an on-call arrangement.

Providers wishing to join the contract should confirm whether they are a community optometry practice or a domiciliary provider and, if domiciliary, whether they operate from physical practice premises or a home address in their email.
